New SMI Chair - Congratulations Brian and Elizabeth
The Society of Maritime Industries (SMI) is today announcing that Brian Johnson of BAE Systems has been elected as its new Chair after Russell Gould of Hensoldt UK, stepped down. Brian has a strong history with SMI having been Chair of the Maritime Defence & Security Group and more recently an elected board member.
MTEC Programme Information
The Marine Technology Education Consortium (MTEC) is a Masters level programme jointly run by Newcastle University, University of Southampton and University College London, all renowned in the field of maritime technology. It is designed for those who are in full-time employment and wish to up-skill. The MSc is accredited, contributing towards Chartered Engineering status.
