SMI member Liverpool John Moores University is set to conduct a comprehensive 'Mastering Shipbuilding Management' course from the 24th to the 28th of June, 2024. The course is designed to cater to the needs of both shipbuilders and shipbuilding customers/stakeholders. This educational initiative is a response to the increasing economic activity in shipbuilding and the evident demand for educational support that aligns with the objectives of the National Shipbuilding Strategy.

SMIFutures Board Reflects on a Year of Success and Plans for the Future During Glasgow Visit

This week, the SMIFutures board visited Glasgow for a series of events. They started with a tour of the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) and then enjoyed a Christmas dinner and quiz on Tuesday. On Wednesday, they held their board meeting at Malin Group, followed by a tour of BAE Govan. The group took the opportunity to reflect on the successful first year of SMIFutures and to look forward to the upcoming year. Many thanks to everyone involved in organising and participating in this event.
