New Training Course for Marine Professionals: ‘Change Management' by OceanWise
We find ourselves in a period of unprecedented change. As such, companies and employees need to adapt to maintain their competitive position.
The marine industry has traditionally been resistant to change taking a ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ approach. However, as the pace of change increases from a range of different sources (for example; advancements in technology, pressure from international trade, climate change, new legislation, changing global and adopting new standards) the industry, and more importantly organisations, need to respond to this challenge.
The success or otherwise of change will depend on how it is addressed, how it is managed, communicated and delivered. As organisations start to make changes – be it incremental or holistic – is it of utmost importance that the change is managed in a considered and planned manner.
This new course from OceanWise entitled “Introduction to Change Management” assists professionals to develop a greater understanding of change, how it affects the individual and the organisation. It is ideal for anyone planning change or who has embarked on a programme of change, and will provide important insights in identifying, preparing for and executing change.
It includes discussions on overcoming the many challenges that confront both the individual and the organisation and how you can ensure change can be delivered successfully in a sustainable way.
OceanWise has been delivering training courses and providing consultancy services to the marine industry for over 10 years. Its world class tutors have delivered tailored training around the world on marine data management, marine spatial data infrastructures, capacity building, GIS and marine mapping.
