Introduction to Offshore Wind USA Webinar
The offshore wind industry is a rapidly growing sector, offering a wealth of opportunities for businesses across a variety of sectors and markets. Recognising this potential, The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) has organised a series of webinars to provide businesses with a comprehensive overview of the industry and its opportunities.
The UK, currently the world’s largest offshore wind market, is ideally positioned to share its expertise and experience with businesses looking to explore these opportunities. The webinar series is designed to help such companies understand the sector, access international markets, and grow their businesses through exports.
The second webinar in the series, scheduled for Wednesday, 27 March 2024, from 15:00 to 16:30, will focus on the USA. This session will provide a detailed insight into doing business in the US market, which currently has 52 GW of offshore wind projects in the pipeline and has seen over $10bn invested in the offshore wind sector.
This webinar is specifically designed for businesses within the UK supply chain looking to explore and expand into the US offshore wind market. Whether you are an established business in the offshore wind sector or a newcomer seeking to understand your place, this webinar will provide you with the knowledge and tools necessary for success.
Participants will have the opportunity to forge a comprehensive market entry strategy tailored for the UK supply chain with insights from US state and economic development agencies.
They will also uncover the nuances of the offshore wind clusters across the United States, pinpointing areas of high activity and potential engagement for their business. Furthermore, they will discover where their product or service fits within the US market, aligning their offer with the industry needs. Lastly, they will learn about the soft-landing programmes designed by US states to facilitate a streamlined market entry for UK businesses.
This is an invaluable opportunity to position your business at the forefront of the global shift towards renewable energy. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn from the experts and discover how to leverage UK experience in international markets.
