SMI in partnership with the Department for Business and Trade and the British Consulate-General, Istanbul invites you to participate in an exclusive mission to Tuzla, Turkey, designed to enhance collaboration and opportunities between UK companies and Turkish shipyards. Proposed Itinerary
Monday, 17th March
Afternoon: Travel and arrival at the Mission Hotel, Holiday Inn, Tuzla.
Evening: Mission Welcome Reception with agents, distributors, and shipyards, featuring a table-top exhibition area for UK companies.
Tuesday, 18th March
Morning: Shipyard visit.
Afternoon: Shipyard visit.
Evening: Mission Dinner with shipyard representatives, GISBIR, and the Turkish Chamber of Shipping
Wednesday, 19th March
Morning: Shipyard Visit.
Afternoon: Shipyard Visit.
Late Afternoon/Evening: Optional free time or return travel.
Thursday, 20th March
Morning: Return travel to the UK.
Mission Fee
The Mission fee at the SMI Member rate is £750 plus VAT
The Mission fee at the non-Member rate is £810 plus VAT
Mission fee inclusions: mission travel from hotel to shipyards, evening dinner and evening receptions.
Mission fee exclusions: Accommodation at the Holiday Inn, Tuzla (3 nights), flights, airport transfers and any local expenses.

We anticipate engagement with prominent yards in Tuzla. Details will be confirmed shortly based on ongoing discussions. In 2023, the SMI UK Mission to Turkey visited, Desan, Bogazici, Uzmar and Cemre shipyards.
