SMIFutures Maritime Careers Showcase
SMIFutures, the young professionals group of SMI, is hosting an exciting event for students to explore the diverse career opportunities within the Marine and Maritime sector. This event will showcase a wide range of career paths, connecting students with industry professionals and providing valuable insights into the future of this dynamic field. Don't miss this chance to discover where a career in Marine and Maritime could take you!
The event will feature short presentations from SMIFutures board members, who will share insights into their career journeys and highlight some of the exciting projects they are working on. Following the presentations, students will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on demonstrations of cutting-edge equipment used in the industry. The event will conclude with a networking lunch, providing a great opportunity to connect with young industry professionals.
There will also be competitions and chances to win prizes – don’t miss out!
The event will run from 10am until 2pm on 2nd April at the National Oceanography Centre. A draft schedule is below (please note this is subject to change slighty):
