Company Information
Summary:
A world leader in navigation and mission systems and sensors for commercial and naval vessels. HENSOLDT UK sets the standard in coastal surveillance and VTS sensors, radars for windfarm mitigation and H2 clean energy solutions.
HENSOLDT can provide a comprehensive integrated package of sensors to meet the needs of the naval small ship operator consisting of radars (2D and 3D), integrated bridge, mission management system, data links, electro-optics, electronic warfare sensors, and degaussing systems.
HENSOLDT UK provides a comprehensive range of radar systems suitable for applications ranging from shipborne navigation, situational awareness, and helicopter control to port VTS, coastal surveillance and offshore infrastructure security.
HENSOLDT UK, the Kelvin Hughes SharpEye™ solid-state Doppler radar manufacturer, provides maritime situational awareness through advanced target detection capability.
Kelvin Hughes SharpEye will detect the smallest targets in severe weather, earlier, and at longer ranges than conventional magnetron based radar.
The I-Band (X-Band) and E/F-band (S-band) variants of Kelvin Hughes SharpEye are an advanced pulse-compressed Doppler navigation and situational awareness radar sensor, providing surface search and surveillance capabilities aimed at the detection of low Radar Cross Section (RCS). The inherent target detection capabilities offered by Kelvin Hughes SharpEye also make it an ideal sensor for naval and offshore platform helicopter control applications.
With a dedicated product line focusing on navigation radar solutions for commercial ships and workboats, HENSOLDT UK, through its Kelvin Hughes brand, is at the forefront of IMO type approved navigation radar display and radar sensor technology. Core technologies include Kelvin Hughes S-Band SharpEye solid-state radar transceivers, X-Band IMO type approved solid-state radar for commercial ships and workboats and type approved integrated widescreen dual Plan Position Indicator (PPI) radar displays.
