This year's Annual Members' Reception will take place at the House of Lords.
The exclusive members' event will serve as an opportunity for SMI members to gather and receive updates on the past year's achievements, as well as insights into upcoming plans.
Members will be able to enjoy the historical surroundings of the House of Lords, whilst engaging in valuable networking opportunities with fellow members. A selection of delectable canapés and drinks will be served throughout the event.
The SMI Donald Maxwell Award will also be awarded at the event, in partnership with IMarEST. This will be awarded to the best marine engineering-based dissertation submitted by an undergraduate student. Our esteemed judging panel, comprising representatives from BAE Systems, Briggs Marine, GE Power, MacDuff Ship Design, Port of Tyne, and Rolls Royce, will select this year's deserving recipient.
Dress code is smart business.
This event is exclusively for members of the Society and their guests.
