SMI Council Elections
Each SMI Council consists of approximately 20 members drawn from the overall membership of SMI. This is to ensure a broad range of views and interests are represented. Councils are renewed annually by inviting member companies to nominate new members. Based on the number of nominations and natural vacancies, some current members may be asked to resign to make room for new members. If necessary, elections are held around the final meeting of the year, allowing new members to join the first meeting of the following year.
Council members attend 4-5 meetings per year, with active participation offering the most value. Membership provides a great development opportunity, and we encourage the nomination of diverse representatives to bring fresh perspectives and foster healthy debate. Please contact me if you would like to know more about the Councils. Deadline for completion is 31 October.
